Shared broadband with fair use
Home Flex is shared internet — your connection shares bandwidth with a small group of neighbors (called a contention ratio). A 10 Mbps plan with 5:1 contention means 5 households share a 10 Mbps pipe. In practice, you rarely notice because not everyone uses the internet at the same time.
Fair Use Policy (FUP): If you download heavily for a sustained period, your speed temporarily drops to about 30% of your plan speed. This is not a data cap — there is no limit on how much you can download. The throttle resets automatically once usage normalizes. This keeps the network fair for everyone sharing the connection.
Available in: Abuja and Lagos (fiber and wireless coverage areas).

Families streaming Netflix, YouTube, and DSTV. Home offices with video calls and email. Students doing online learning. Anyone who needs reliable home internet without breaking the bank.
What gets installed?
An ONT (Optical Network Terminal) converts the fiber signal. A WiFi router provides wireless coverage. We supply and install both. Installation takes 3-7 business days after site survey.

What to expect
- Speeds are "up to" — you will get the full speed most of the time, but during peak hours (evenings, weekends) it may be slower due to shared bandwidth
- FUP throttle kicks in during sustained heavy downloads (e.g. downloading multiple large files for hours). Normal streaming and browsing will not trigger it
- Great for: streaming (Netflix, YouTube, DSTV), video calls (Zoom, Teams), browsing, social media, online learning
- Not ideal for: running servers, 24/7 heavy downloading, businesses that need guaranteed speed
